Amoebae leave no fossils. You just have to trust the educated speculation of scientists. But then she had never trusted anyone, particularly the scientists. It is just they have the archives. A lot of the knowledge was lost during the last war, and so it was hard to tell what was their origins whatsoever. She had no choice but to go to dr. Wendell's office in Stalingrad.
Only he had the clues to trace back who and what they were.
With a sense of foreboding she left her house for the station. She knew she could never return.
Was there any possibility that they were the proof she had been waiting for?
She had always found the idea of "Proof" to be a slippery customer Her intuition had never let her down - she didn't understand why people couldn't just see the truth as she did.

Story So Far is a collaborative story writing project based on Twitter messages. Each day people can submit potential new entries by sending us a tweet and vote on existing entries in a similar manner. At the end of the day the entry with the most votes becomes part of the story so far.
21 hours, 30 minutes until the next update!
To vote for an entry send a tweet to @storysofarvote with a mention of the user you want to vote for. Your vote will then be counted for their most recent story entry at that time.

To submit your entry for the next line in the story, simply send it on Twitter as a reply to @storysofar. (Don't forget to use punctuation!)
Send a tweet containing just 'The End' and if it wins the vote the story will end and a new one will begin.
